Often consciousness is confused with some kind of mind activity, be is analytical left brain functions or intuitive right brain function. Consciousness is not a mind-function, it remains when the brain is gone, while the brain does not. However there is interference between mind-activity and consciousness as every brain function can work better or less depending on the degree of consciousness present.
